Sam Brown (Founder)
Guitar
Sam is a guitarist from Dublin, Ireland. Like many guitarists, Sam began by playing the electric guitar at the age of 8, before transitioning to the Classical guitar at age 16. He has spent the last 10 years recording and playing gigs, both at home and abroad, with numerous different bands ranging from Pop and Jazz all the way to Metal.
Sam holds an MA in Performance & Musicology and a Bachelor of Music Degree, both from Maynooth University. He also spent a year studying Jazz guitar at Fordham University and the Juilliard School in New York City. Upon returning from his studies in the US, Sam began touring extensively both in Ireland and the UK, before winning first prize in the senior Classical guitar competition at the 2019 Feis Ceoil. Sam began teaching guitar in 2017, and has since helped students prepare for concerts, auditions and Junior/Leaving Certificate practical examinations.
Sam is currently recording and gigging with his band Jet Fuel Chemistry

Matteo Poli
Drums, Percussion and Music Theory
Born in Florence, Italy, Matteo started playing the drums when he was 9, experiencing different schools and teaching approaches. After a secondary school exchange, Matteo moved to Ireland, looking for better musical and artistic opportunities. Starting with hard rock and metal music, Matteo decided to focus his drum styles and techniques toward Funk, Soul/RnB and South American music.
Over the last decade, Matteo has recorded and gigged for many different bands/artists between Italy and Ireland.
Having attended BIMM Dublin, Matteo holds a BA in Commercial Modern Music, specialising in Drum Solo Performance, Music Business, Composition Analysis and Music Theory.
Matteo also started teaching drums in 2015, both privately and through primary and secondary schools. In this regard, his main goal has been helping young students develop their passion for music through drums unique experience, approaching music as something fun and joyful.

John Mullarkey
Guitar, Ukulele
John is a multi-instrumentalist and session musician based in Dublin.
He has played guitar and bass for over ten years, alongside his keen interest of ukulele and vocals.
John holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Maynooth University, specialising in Jazz Guitar and Composition.
John is heavily active in the Irish R&B and scene, playing alongside touring artists and playing festivals in Ireland and overseas. John is also part of the Maynooth University Jazz Band and has experience playing a multitude of different genres live.
John began teaching guitar in 2018 and has experience teaching all ages.
John’s approach to teaching is very focused on learning to love your Instrument as well as developing your own unique musical voice.

Ciarán Gilpin
Piano
Ciarán is a pianist from Wicklow, currently studying and working in Dublin. He has played piano for over 10 years and performed solo, with choirs and instrumentalists in a range of venues. Currently, Ciarán is in his Final Year of a Bachelor of Music Education in Trinity College Dublin, a course specializing in instrumental performance and music education.
Ciarán has taught instrumental lessons since 2017, from classical to pop to jazz, he has performed and taught a huge range of genres and styles to students of all ages. Whether it’s preparation for graded examinations or just playing for the thrill, all styles of learning are welcomed.

Dan Coyne
Piano
Dan Coyne is a multi-instrumentalist and composer based in Dublin. He studied Music in Trinity College Dublin from 2016 to 2020 with a major in music technology and minor in composition. While studying he also performed in the Trinity College big band and musical theatre orchestra. He has a strong understanding of music software and spent two years giving tutorials in production and DJing for the Trinity Digital Arts society for which he served as chair from 2018 to 2019.
From 2018 to present a large portion of his professional music practice has taken place as a key member of bands Cooks But We’re Chefs and Papa Romeo. Having completed the Irish grade system with a distinction at grade 8, Dan has a strong understanding of the RIAM syllabus. However, in teaching, Dan prioritises his students' interest. Whether it be jazz, pop or rock the most important element will be enjoying the music.
